Reflection: I Am a Worker Too
Today's reflection compliments of Ann Rotermund.
Today is the feast of St. Joseph the Worker. We usually see St. Joseph in Christmas cribs but today we go to work with him. What does it mean to be a worker? Like worker bees frantically keeping the queen satisfied? Hopefully not.
To work means to bring our whole self to an endeavor - our body, our thoughts, our souls to ultimately allow the kingdom of Jesus to flourish through us. So the next time you sweep your floor or do your daily routine remember that it is holy. When we observe others doing their work see them as holy. Happy Swiffering!
