School enrollment is going strong! We are most pleased to welcome all of our new families, many of whom are getting this newsletter for the first time. We want to encourage those new school families who are on Facebook to join our
SSP PTO Community Facebook group
. It is a private group for only current school parents and staff. It's a great place to ask questions or to simply lurk and learn.

After the last wedding to be hosted at the
Sts. Mary & Joseph
this fall, we will be relinquishing the building for its eventual sale. In the afternoon of Sunday,
Oct. 10, 2021
(time TBD), the church will be open for visitors. At that time there will also be furniture and other miscellaneous items available for sale in the Msgr. Keating Center. More information to come.
Coaches, referees, scorekeepers, and anyone else who is involved with sports this coming season will need to be sure they’ve completed the
of Protecting God's Children. It's called Prevent and Protect. All information and links can be found on our website at
. If you have already taken the class, you do not need to take that class again, but you do need to have completed the new Prevent and Protect program online before working with any student athletes.
We answer to the Archdiocese on this policy, and it must be enforced.

Our monthly PTO Dine Arounds have been a fun way to earn money for our PTO as well as to support neighborhood businesses. In addition to the continuing rotation of other local restaurants, Cecil Whittaker's has agreed to host a Dine Around on the third Thursday of
each and every
month, beginning Aug. 19. We are grateful for Cecil's longtime support of our school and parish. And we thank PTO member
for coordinating the Dine Arounds!
Our Choral Club students in Grade 4-8 will have the honor of singing the National Anthem on the field at the Wednesday, Aug. 25, Cardinals game (12:15 p.m. start)!
The singers will be sitting together in a reserved block of box seats in right field. Anyone may purchase tickets for as long as they are available. Cost is $20 per ticket. Tickets will need to be paid for in advance by sending cash or check to the parish office before July 25. The tickets will be available for pickup at a later date.
